Jang Keun-suk successfully wraps up his fan meeting in Korea

Korean actor Jang Keun-suk held his second fan meeting in Korea over the weekend, attracting scores of domestic and overseas fans to the event.

The actor met with some 3,000 fans -- including 700 people from eight countries overseas -- at his fan event, held at Seoul's Olympic Park Olympic Hall on Sunday.

Jang performed songs from the soundtrack to his recent TV series "Minamishineyo" as well as past hits by other K-pop artists including "It's Raining" by Rain and "Heartbeat" by 2PM.

The actor also displayed his deejaying skills and unveiled a series of personal photographs and videos from his childhood days up to the present.

Jang, 23, has appeared in several notable television dramas including "Beethoven Virus" (MBC, 2008), "Hong Gil-dong" (KBS2, 2008) and popular sitcom "Nonstop 4" (MBC, 2003). He has also done some acting work on the big screen, most recently "The Case of Itaewon Homicide" last year.

He became a phenomenon in Korea and throughout Asia after starring in "Minamishineyo", in which he portrayed an eccentric lead singer of idol group A.N.JELL.

He is scheduled to tour four Asian countries -- namely China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore -- by March 5.

Jang Geun Suk akan mengadakan fans meeting di Korea pada tgl 31 januari ini. Dan diberitakan juga, banyak fans dari seluruh Asia yang akan ikut gabung untuk menghadiri fans meeting. Ini adalah hal yg mengejutkan, karena sebelumnya JGS tidak pernah melakukan kunjungan dan kegiatan di negara2 seperti China, Hong Kong, dan Taiwan sebelumnya.
Mengenai fanmeeting ini, menagement JGS berkomentar "ada banyak surat dan hadiah yang datangnya dari para fans untuk JGS. Dia lalu membuka dan membacanya di sela2 waktu istirahatnya. diantaranya ada yg menulis menggunakan bahasa korea dan selebihnya tidak. Oleh karena itu, JGS termotivasi untuk mempelajari bahasa baru selain bahasa Korea dan saat ini dia sedang belajar".
"Banyak fans yang request untuk dapat berpartisipasi di fanmeeting, Untuk mengakomodasi seluruh fans yang ada, kita merubah beberapa tempat fanmeeting beberapa kali. JGS sendiri sangat antusias dan berkerja lebih ekstra lagi untuk mempersiapkan fanmeeting nanti.
Fanmeeting ini akan berlangsung di Seoul Olympic Park Olymic Hall tgl 31 januari 2010, jam 2PM.

Jang Geun-suk Attracts Overseas Fans to Local Fan Meeting

Korean actor Jang Keun-seuk is reportedly attracting his fans from overseas to a local fan meeting later this month, according to his agency Tree J. Company on Monday.

The event was originally organized for some 3,000 Korean fans but 23 percent of the tickets were reserved by the actor's fans overseas -- particularly those in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Jang, who has never done any official work in the Chinese market, gained a huge fanbase in the region after starring in the SBS TV series "Minamishineyo" last year. In November, the Chinese fans visited the set of "Minamishineyo" and attended Jang's fan meeting in Japan.

"Minamishineyo", which co-starred actress Park Shin-hye, was reportedly the most-searched keyword on Chinese portal sites and the actor has since been receiving numerous offers from China.

"We are receiving fan letters and presents from overseas fans everyday," an official at Tree J. was quoted as saying. "Jang is taking a break from work and is busy reading his fan letters." He also added that the actor wants to learn foreign languages in order to communicate better with fans.

Even fans from Australia, Canada, Singapore and the U.S. are reportedly flying in to attend the fan meeting, to be held at Olympic Park Olympic Hall on January 31.

Nah, tau Jang Geun Suk dong … Itu tuh yg main di drama You’re Beautiful barengan ama Park Shin Hye. Ternyata, di acara KBS Shin Dong-yup and Shin Bong-sun’s Champagne, terungkap kalau dia adalah Gu Jun Pyo yg sebenernya !!! Lah kok bisa ???

Jadi, ternyata, dia ditawarin peran BBF itu sebelum Lee Min Ho loh… Tapi, dia menolaknya. Lah ??? Saat itu, dia ditawarin 2 skrip drama, BBF ama Beethoven Virus. Kenapa dia lebih milih Beethoven Virus ??? Korean actor Jang Geun Suk revealed in a television program that he had ever dated a woman who is 8 years older than him.

Jang Geun Suk has recently starred in the Korean KBS 2TV ‘Jang Geun Suk’s Ideal Type World Cup’ special program.

When the host asked Jang Geun Suk whether has he ever considered dating an older woman, Jang Geun Suk replied saying that he has never considered age as one of the condition in selecting his girlfriend however he has ever dated a woman who is 8 years older than him previously.

What did Jang Geun Seuk lool like when he was in middle school?

Do you live in New Zealand? If so, you had the chance of becoming Mrs. Jang Geun Suk!

Pictures of Jang Geun Suk during his teen days as a student at New Zealand were revealed on MBC's "Star, the Secret." He said that "After graduating middle school, he spent around 6 months in New Zealand"

He added that "although the time spent there was short, living life as a student and not a celebrity was joyful."

He also shared a story he hid throughout the years. Apparently, he was the leader of the festival planning community for the middle and high school festival. (I guess he finds this to be something that's embarrassing.)

According to online fashion site (atzine.com), actor Jang Geun Suk and actress Han Ye Seul are the best dressed celebrities.

This poll was held from the 14th to the 17th and the two received the most votes from a poll of 800 people, naming them '2009's Best Dressers.'

Jang Geun Suk came in at first by taking 44% of the votes. He played the role of a celebrity in his hit SBS drama, 'You're Beautiful,' and thanks to this role, he was able to be dressed in quite fashionable attire that was loved by viewers. His Hwang Tae Kyung outfits even started a fashion trend in Korea and he has been dubbed as 'Wan-Pan-Nam' (완판남), meaning that his fashion has become a hit.

During the filming of KBS2 TV ‘Jang Geun Suk – Ideal Type World Cup Special’, Jang Geun Suk made a few shocking confessions.

He confesses that he had fallen in love during drama filming.

It was during the time where I was filming ‘Hwang Jing Yi’ and it was a difficult period as I had just broken up with my girlfriend. I was too engrossed in my role and I ended up liking Han Ji Won nuna alot.

When I was filming ‘Hong Gil Dong’, I had a few kiss scenes with Sung Yuri nuna. My heart was fluttering when I filmed the scenes.
